Carrie Underwood Reveals That Her Dog Ace Died on Grammys Night: 'He Was a True Friend'

Carrie Underwood is sharing some sad news.

On Monday (April 4), the 39-year-old performer shared that her that dog Ace had passed away the day earlier, which happened to be the same day she performed at the Grammys.

“Last night my sweet Ace left this world… he will forever live on in our hearts and be forever missed,” she wrote alongside some sweet photos of the pup. “He was there for me when I was on my own trying to figure out life when it was at its craziest! He was with me through 3 houses, 6 tours and 2 kids…always ready to snuggle and play…through all the highs and lows.”

Carrie added that Ace was a “true friend and a good boy till the very end,” and said, “I love you, sweet Ace… see you on the other side…”

She got some sweet comments from friends and fans, as well as fellow country star Miranda Lambert. “So sorry,” she wrote. “I know how bad that hurts. Sendin love your way.”

Carrie was nominated for two awards at the Grammys and won the Best Roots Gospel Album for My Savior. She was seen walking the red carpet with her husband Mike Fisher and you can see all the photos of them here.
