Jesse Williams is celebrating the opening night of his Broadway show!

The 40-year-old actor joined co-stars Patrick J. Adams and Jesse Tyler Ferguson on the red carpet at opening night of Take Me Out on Monday evening (April 4) at the Helen Hayes Theatre in New York City.

Fellow cast members at the opening night celebration included Julian Cihi, Hiram Delgado, Brandon J. Dirden, Carl Lundstedt, Ken Marks, Michael Oberholtzer, Eduardo Ramos, and Tyler Lansing Weaks along with Second Stage Artistic Director Carole Rothman.

Take Me Out follows Darren Lemming (Williams), “star center fielder for the Empires, who reveals he is gay and faces a barrage of long-held unspoken prejudices. Facing some hostile teammates and fraught friendships, Darren is forced to contend with the challenges of being a gay person of color within the confines of a classic American institution. As the Empires struggle to rally toward a championship season, the players and their fans begin to question tradition, their loyalties and the price of victory, according to Broadway.com.

It was recently announced that Take Me Out will soon be turned into a limited TV series!
