Jimmy Kimmel Responds After Being Reported to the Police by Marjorie Taylor Greene

Jimmy Kimmel made a joke about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene during his show on Tuesday night and she reported him to the police because of it. Now, he’s responding.

The late night host and the Georgia Republican have been going back and forth on Twitter over the matter and even Rep. Matt Gaetz has gotten involved.

“This woman, Klan mom, is especially upset with the three Republican senators who said they’ll vote yes on Ketanji Brown Jackson, who’s nominated for the Supreme Court. She tweeted, ‘Murkowski, Collins, and Romney are pro-pedophile. They just voted for KBJ.’ Wow, where is Will Smith when you really need him?” Kimmel said on his show.

Greene tweeted a clip of the joke and wrote, “@ABC, this threat of violence against me by @jimmykimmel has been filed with the @CapitolPolice.”

Kimmel responded, “Officer? I would like to report a joke.”

Greene tweeted back, “You weren’t joking. You hide your misogyny and your racism behind your ‘jokes’ on @ABC. This was a dog whistle to the violent left to assault me or worse, and your already inspiring fantasies of violence against me. How many new death threats will I get that are your fans?”

Kimmel wrote in response, “The only fantasies you inspire are of silence. Maybe you should report this to Animal Control?”

Greene then said, “.@jimmykimmel your fans called my office today in direct response to you inciting physical violence towards me. It’s not a joke. You knew exactly what you were doing. @ABC and their parent company @WaltDisneyCo should not allow your misogyny & threats of violence.”

Greene also included a video of someone allegedly calling in a threat.
