Dylan McDermott Teases 'FBI: Most Wanted' Role Ahead of Debut

Dylan McDermott will make his debut as Remy Scott in this week’s episode of FBI: Most Wanted, and is opening up about joining the team following the tragic outcome of Julian McMahon‘s exit.

In a pair of new interviews, the 60-year-old actor is opening up about coming on board to the series and shared some insights about his character.

In one interview, Dylan revealed that he met the cast the same time as his character, Remy, did.

“My first day at work was my introduction to the actors. So, that was great because Remy was introduced to them and Dylan was introduced to them at the same time, and they had asked me, ‘Oh, do you want to meet the actors, and would you like to sit down with them and talk to them?’ I said ‘No. I want it to be as if it’s Remy’s first day and Dylan’s first day coincides.’” he explained.

Dylan added that having that experience was great because “they were checking me out. I was checking them out. It was a little bit awkward. Not sure. New guy stuff. So, it actually worked out beautifully.”

Deep diving into his character, Dylan explained to ET that Remy is “A seasoned veteran. There is a reason he’s doing what he’s doing. He’s not just a cop catching bad guys, if you will. There’s a significant reason why he’s still doing this and he’s working out something psychologically inside of himself in order for him to carry on.”

He added, “He’s a natural born leader. He’s a compelling character. He’s a complex character. And he has his own demons.”

FBI: Most Wanted airs Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
