Katy Perry & Jimmy Kimmel Take on 'Baby Shark' with Their Kid's Song 'Yum Yum Nom Nom Toot Toot Poop’

Katy Perry and Jimmy Kimmel are taking on “Baby Shark” with a new song!

In the intro, Jimmy explained that parents like himself and Katy have been beholden to “Baby Shark,” which inspired them to create a new viral kid’s song.

The clip then cuts to the duo working together in the studio, where they decide the song has two embody the two central tenets of a children’s song: it has to be repetitive and reference all the things kids love, like puppies, low-interest mortgages, dinosaurs, garbage trucks and food.

Settling on the latter as their subject, Jimmy said, “Yum yum is a good one, right? It causes all the hair on my body to stand up when I say the word ‘Yum Yum,’ but I think that’s good because the parents have to hate the song.”

He also suggested they add “nom nom” as Katy made fart noises with her mouth and added that the beat should should be flatulent.

“Clap your hands and stomp your feet/ Give me something good to eat,” Katy sings in the video as the pair do a choregraphed dance to the chorus, “Yum yum, nom nom, toot toot, poop!”

“First the food goes in your mouth/ Then it starts to travel south,” Jimmy sings on the second verse, as he and Katy travel down a cartoon stomach.
