Scooter Braun is responding to the recent surge in headlines after The Kid LAROI referred to his ex-manager as a “mistake” in a new TikTok video.

“For those asking about the beef…and my friends who are wanting to go hard…don’t believe everything you see on the Internet. Make sure to check out @TheKidLaroi new upcoming single produced by our very own @ThisIsWatt,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.

The Story also included screenshots of his text exchange with the superstar confirming that he got permission before posting, with Scooter later noting in a text message: “People are calling from media thinking you and I got real beef…clever move I like it.”

Last year, Billboard reported that The Kid LAROI split with Scooter Braun and signed with Adam Leber for management.
