Here's Why There Are Reports Angelina Jolie May Be Suing the FBI

There is new speculation regarding Angelina Jolie.

Headlines began swirling this week after a woman identified as “Jane Doe” is suing the FBI for information regarding their investigation into an incident of alleged domestic violence on a private jet several years ago.

The filing matches the description of the 2016 plane incident that led to Angelina and Brad Pitt splitting up.

The “Jane Doe” featured in the lawsuit documents, obtained by ET, claims to have “public status” and wants to remain anonymous.

The lawsuit is filed under the Freedom of Information Act, and the woman is seeking information “about the agency’s investigation of an incident of domestic violence that occurred several years ago involving plaintiff and her minor children as victims and witnesses.”

“Several years ago, while plaintiff, her then-husband, and their children, who were all minors at the time, were traveling via private aircraft, the husband allegedly physically and verbally assaulted plaintiff and the children,” the woman writes in the suit.

The FBI then “publicly announced it was closing its investigation of the incident without further action,” but did not notify her of that decision.

The suit is a request to “better understand the FBI’s investigation and obtain information necessary for her children to receive medical care and trauma counseling” regarding the incident.

There has been no official comment from Angelina or Brad‘s reps regarding the reports.
