Nathalie Emmanuel Tears Up While Chopping Off Her Hair in Emotional & Moving Video

Nathalie Emmanuel is letting go of stereotypical beauty standards.

The 33-year-old actress shared a very moving video of chopping her hair off with fans on social media, just hours before debuting her stylish pixie cut at the 2022 British Academy Television Craft Awards in London on Sunday (April 24).

“So I did a thing…. And it was kind of a big deal for me,” Nathalie captioned the video that she shared.

In the clip, the F9 actress chronicled the process of cutting off most of her hair, and opened up about why it was such a big deal.

“I wanted to share this for those who have experienced any kind of feelings of othering or hair discrimination and then had a long, tough journey to self acceptance or feelings of having no autonomy over yourself… or… worrying about not fitting certain beauty standards…” she wrote.

Nathalie added, “Anyway… please be kind… me and my lil crop cut will be over here getting to know each other…”
