VIDEO: Katy Perry Falls Out of Chair on 'American Idol' While Dressed as Little Mermaid's Ariel
Ouch, that had to have hurt!
Katy Perry tipped backwards in her chair and fell to the ground during a live moment on the latest episode of American Idol.
The 37-year-old singer dressed up as Ariel from The Little Mermaid for Disney Night on Sunday (May 1) and the mishap happened at the top of the show.
Katy had some trouble walking to her chair and then getting into it due to it being on wheels. After she sat down, the camera cut to host Ryan Seacrest to begin introducing the first performance, but then there was a loud boom.

The camera then went to the judges table, where Katy was laying on the ground after falling backwards. Fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan helped her back up and thankfully she’s okay!
