Zendaya Spotted with Short Hair on 'Challengers' Set on Met Gala Monday

Zendaya was sadly not at the 2022 Met Gala, but we still have new photos taken of her on the day of the event!

The 25-year-old actress was spotted with short hair while arriving on set for her upcoming movie Challengers on Monday (May 2) in Boston, Mass.

In a recent interview, Zendaya explained why she wouldn’t be at the Met Gala.

“I hate to disappoint my fans here, but I will be working,” Zendaya told Extra. “Your girl’s got to work and make some movies, so I wish everyone the best. I will be playing tennis, but I will be back eventually… I’ll keep delivering in other ways.”

Zendaya is referring to Challengers, in which she will be playing a tennis player turned coach who “has taken her husband, Art (Mike Faist), and transformed him from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a ‘Challenger’ event — close to the lowest level of tournament on the pro tour — where he finds himself standing across the net from the once-promising, now burnt-out Patrick: his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend (Josh O’Connor).”
