'Friends' & 'Overboard' Star Mike Hagerty Passes Away at 67

Mike Hagerty has sadly died at the age of 67.

The actor was best known for his role as Mr. Treeger on Friends, and just recently starred on HBO’s Somebody Somewhere.

His Somebody Somewhere co-star Bridget Everett announced the sad news on social media.

“With great sadness, the family of Michael G. Hagerty announced his death yesterday in Los Angeles,” she started. “A beloved character actor, his love of his hometown of Chicago and his family were the cornerstones of his life.”

Bridget added, “Mike, a devoted husband, is survived by his wife Mary Kathryn, his sister Mary Ann Hagerty, her wife Kathleen O’Rourke, and their daughter Meg. He will be sorely missed.”

In addition to Friends and Somebody Somewhere, Mike was known for his roles in Overboard with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, as well as his television roles on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Cheers, Community, CSI, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Glee, Grey’s Anatomy, Shameless, Seinfield and many others.
