Rebecca Romijn & Jerry O'Connell Look Back at Her 'Fun' Marriage to Ex-Husband John Stamos

Rebecca Romijn is sharing some very rare comments about her marriage to ex-husband John Stamos.

On Thursday (May 5), the 49-year-old actress appeared on her husband Jerry O’Connell‘s daytime talk show The Talk, where they talked about her first marriage to the 58-year-old Full House actor.

“Going through a divorce is terrible, it’s awful,” Rebecca shared. “I was with him for 10 years. Divorce feels like a failure and there were a lot of things that I had to let go of that were very sad.”

Rebecca and John first met in 1994 and married in 1998. They divorced in 2005. Rebecca and Jerry, 48, married in 2007 and share 13-year-old twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly.

“When I’m with you personally, and I hear you talk about your ex-husband, it sounds like it was fun,” Jerry said. “You always have really fun memories.”

“I do, I have a lot of really fun memories,” Rebecca responded. “I have a lot of fond memories of him. A lot of things about him that I miss. But yeah, it’s tricky. It’s a very hard decision to come to when you decide to end a marriage. It was heartbreaking.”

Rebecca then went on to say that she recently saw John, and admitted to Jerry that she still has a soft spot for her ex.

“I finally saw him. I saw him just a few weeks ago, first time since we split up,” Rebecca recalled. “I had the girls in the car. We were sitting in afterschool traffic at a strip mall and I saw him. There he was walking right in front of the car. Cap pulled down. Sunglasses on. I went, ‘There he is girls!’”

Rebecca then said that her daughters asked how she could still recognize John, even after all these years apart.

“I said, ‘Girls, because I was with him for 10 years,’” she said. “I would recognize that gait from a block away. I recognize the way his body moves. I know that walk. I’m familiar with his body.”

Jerry then asked why Rebecca didn’t roll down her window and say hello to John, and she joked, “I didn’t think my hair looked good.”

“You want a blowout before you see him?” Jerry jokingly asked.

“Yes, is that too much to ask? I don’t know,” Rebecca quipped back. “I certainly wouldn’t want you there. That would be his worst nightmare.”

Jerry concluded by saying that there is no bad blood between any of them, adding, “We’re all friends, come on.”
