Chelsea Lazkani's Wedding Video Goes Viral After She Claims She's Not Faking British Accent

Selling Sunset‘s newest cast member, Chelsea Lazkani, responded to claims that she faked her British accent on the show during the reunion that dropped on Netflix last week.

“So clearly, everyone thinks I’m faking my accent. My parents are Nigerian, so I grew up in a household where my parents had an accent, right? I lived in London for the first 10 years of my life. Then, I moved to Switzerland. And then, I moved to New Jersey. Then, I moved to New York. And now, I live in Los Angeles,” the 29-year-old O group realtor said on the reunion special on Netflix. “I’m working on it. But this is me, OK? This is what you’re getting. I’m not faking it. If I was, I’d be a really f—king good actress.”

Now, a clip of her wedding video from her 2017 wedding has resurfaced and is going viral.

The video was posted to TikTok and has fans commenting that her accent definitely does not seem as strong then as it does now.

“definitely has an accent but it sounds like she’s just embellishing it now 😅,” one user wrote in the comments. Another added, “I knew I wasn’t tripping. That accent was glitching the whole season lol.” One user defended her, saying, “I don’t think she’s faking it. People slip in and out of accents all the time when they move around so much.”
