Christina Haack & Tarek El Moussa's Son Brayden Had Emergency Surgery on Mother's Day

Christina Haack had quite the Mother’s Day!

The 38-year-old interior designer revealed that her and ex, Tarek El Moussa‘s six-year-old son, Brayden, went emergency surgery!

Sharing the story with fans on Instagram, Christina shared that Brayden had to undergo surgery for an appendectomy on Sunday (May 8).

“Scary 12 hours for us parents + step parents,” she wrote alongside a photo of Brayden sleeping in a hospital bed. “After being admitted to the ER, Brayden had to have an emergency appendectomy as well as removal of Meckel’s diverticulum early this morning.”

Christina added, “Nothing like seeing your child in excruciating pain 😣.”

However, Brayden‘s surgery went well and he’s “recovering and in good spirits. The entire staff at Mission Hospital was amazing and we are all grateful it was caught early.”

“Blessed to have 3 healthy + happy kids, caring family and friends and a husband who stands by my side,” she concluded. “Happy Mother’s Day everyone. 🤍.”

Christina, who also shares daughter Taylor with Tarek, has a younger son, Hudson, with ex Ant Anstead.

She recently got married to Joshua Hall.

Tarek shared his own account of Brayden‘s surgery on his Instagram as well.

“It’s been an interesting 24 hours,” he started in his caption with a different image of Brayden in post-op. “…He’s such a strong boy and of course he told me he’s very excited to eat real food tomorrow, he’s obsessed with food just like his daddy❤️.”

Tarek added that it was a “very scary day, but we all banned together as a family to get through it. Thank you to the amazing Doctors and nurses who took such incredible care of our boy.”
