Get to Know 'Slow Song' Electronic Duo The Knocks With These 10 Fun Facts (Exclusive)

1. We were roommates living in a small apartment in the East Village making hip-hop beats for rappers in our bedrooms. Our neighbors would constantly knock on our walls to turn down the music. It became a running joke “getting the knocks”…that eventually led to our name.

2. We have toured with Justin Bieber, collaborated with members of the Wu-Tang Clan, and have performed on late night TV shows with Foster The People. Should we pick a lane or nah?

3. The music video for our single “Slow Song” features the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the incomparable Aquaria.

4. JPatt played in church bands growing up. Ben entered DJ scratch competitions as a kid. We wonder why we didn’t pick a genre to stick to.

5. We got our start doing remixes for Britney Spears, Jay-Z, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. Every year, we all get together and reminisce about the good old days.
