Have you seen the crying filter on Snapchat? There’s a theory that Amber Heard‘s recent appearance in court was the inspiration for the filter and now the company is responding.

The filter dropped on Friday, May 6, right after Amber took the stand in her trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Amber tearfully testified in the trial and revealed many bombshells about her relationship with Johnny. A photo of her on the stand went viral on social media and fans think that the crying filter on Snapchat looks just like that pic.

A spokesperson for Snap confirmed to TMZ that there’s “no truth” to the rumors and that the filter has been in the works for six months.

There have already been 1.3 billion impressions of the crying filter on Snapchat.
