Ricky Martin Joins Apple TV+'s 'Mrs. American Pie'

Ricky Martin is headed to the small screen on Apple TV+’s upcoming series, Mrs. American Pie.

Deadline reports that the 50-year-old actor/singer will join Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern and Allison Janney in the limited series.

According to the outlet, Ricky will play the male lead, Robert, in the show.

The story centers on Maxine Simmons (Wiig), who attempts to secure her seat at America’s most exclusive table: Palm Beach high society.

As Maxine attempts to cross that impermeable line between the haves and the have-nots, Mrs. American Pie asks the same questions that still baffle us today: “Who gets a seat at the table?” “How do you get a seat at the table?” “What will you sacrifice to get there?”

Set during the powder keg era of the early 1970s, Mrs. American Pie is a testament to every outsider fighting for their chance at superficial greatness.

The series is based off the novel from Juliet McDaniel, and will be written, executive produced and showrun by Abe Sylvia, and directed and executive produced by Tate Taylor. Laura will also executive produce the show.
