Kailyn Lowry Announces She's Leaving 'Teen Mom 2' After 11 Years

Kailyn Lowry‘s time on Teen Mom 2 has come to an end.

During part two of the MTV show’s reunion that aired on Tuesday (May 24), the 30-year-old reality star announced that she is leaving the show after 11 years.

“I think I need to move on,” Kail told co-hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa. “I think I need to do my own thing. I think this needs to be my farewell. I think I’m ready.”

Dr. Drew admitted that he didn’t expect to have to say goodbye to Kail during this reunion, but Kail just reiterated that’s time for her to move on from the show.

“I think that we should part ways,” Kail said. “I think this should be the end.”

Kail was first introduced to MTV fans back in 2010 on 16 and Pregnant, when she was a high school student expecting son Isaac, now 12, with Jo Rivera.

The following year, Kail joined Teen Mom 2 and over the years, she has documented her motherhood journey along with all of life’s ups and downs.

Now in 2022, Kail is mom to Isaac with Jo, 8-year-old son Lincoln with ex-husband Javi Marroquin, son Lux, 4, and son Creed, 21-months-old. She shares her two youngest sons with ex-boyfriend Chris Lopez.

Late last year, Kail explained why she doesn’t give her kids Christmas presents.
