'And Just Like That' Season 2 - Here's What's Happening With Samantha

When asked by Variety about whether Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) will still be texting with Samantha in Season 2, he said “Yes!”

He has only just begun working on Season 2 in the writers’ room, and was hesitant to share more details.

He also discussed what happened between Carrie and Samantha during their planned meet-up off-screen at the end of Season 1.

“It’s very funny, because every single one of the writers has a different version of what happened during that conversation,” he said.

“So, I think there was some Champagne. I think there was a grownup back and forth, and a love affair that they realized that something’s more important than being afraid to heal. I’m sure they had a great night. To me, they had a great night and things became resolved. Once Carrie let go of an old, old love, one of her current loves came back in.”

Production is set to begin this October, with a premiere targeted on HBO Max for the summer of 2023.
