Chace Crawford Reveals Why His Bulge Was Edited Out of 'The Boys' After Viral Photo

Back in 2019, a character poster went viral for the star because of the rather prominent bulge on display. When Amazon learned about the prosthetic used in the show, they weren’t pleased.

“[Showrunner Eric] Kripke was like, ‘We get no notes from Amazon, but the first one we got was that can’t f**king happen, we’ve got to take that out,”‘ he explained, “and we had to edit it out.”

Producers had to use CGI to shrink his character’s private parts in the already filmed scenes. Different images were then released, with the bulge smoothed out.

He also previously said he was “sworn to secrecy by Eric Kripke” to not share more about the revealing photo, but clearly he’s since spilled!
