Khloe Kardashian Says Rewatching Tristan Thompson's Paternity Scandal on 'The Kardashians' Is 'A Form of Therapy'

Khloe Kardashian is opening up.

During a Q&A at The Kardashians Disney FYC screening on Wednesday night (June 16), the 37-year-old reality star discussed what it was like rewatching her relationship with Tristan Thompson come to an end on the show, likening it to “a form of therapy.”

“It’s not easy, but it’s also, I think, a form of therapy for me at the same time, and I like to see how the rest of my family responds to things,” Khloe told the audience.

“Those little things mean a lot to me, and I like to see that stuff, just how the whole family — not about this situation, but any situation — how we all rally around one another in times that are hard for us,” she continued.

The pair ended their relationship after Khloe discovered the NBA player had father another child with Maralee Nichols. The show captured the moment Khloe learned about his infidelity from sister Kim Kardashian.

“I find out what Tristan is doing with the rest of the world,” she said in a confessional. “A courtesy would be not doing it. But fine, if you do it, you’re not even gonna be a f—ing heads up before the rest of the world? It’s just an additional slap in my face. It’s humiliating, I’m embarrassed.”

Khloe went on to credit the producers for allowing her and her family members to “feel so safe” sharing such personal things about their lives.

“We’re so lucky and honored through that, and [showrunner] Danielle [King] is with us in the field every day,” she said. “If we didn’t feel safe or comfortable to tell our stories, or to feel that we can be vulnerable… Yes, we know it’s going to go on the big screen one day, but you can be your raw, open self when you have a great team around you.”

As for how she set boundaries around what she wants to depict on the series, she said: “I think each person has their own set of boundaries or what they feel like showing, and we all respect that.”

“Each person might have something that they’re more comfortable showing and something that they don’t want on camera. We have to respect that because this is not only our job, but it’s our real life too,” she added.

Earlier this month, Khloe clarified a tweet she wrote about Tristan that some people interpreted as “spiteful.”
