According to a new report, on different occasions, Prince Charles received cash money from Sheikh Hamad bin Jasseim bin Jaber Al Thani, the former prime minister of Qatar. The report alleges that on three separate occasions between 2011 and 2015, the Prince was given €1 million ($1.05 million) in cash in a suitcase or bags, The Times reports. The total amount adds up to over $3 million in cash.

The money was allegedly then counted by aides and deposited to royal bank Coutts to go into his Charitable Fund. The Prince’s Charitable Fund gives grants to various non profit groups.

“Charitable donations received from Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim were passed immediately to one of the Prince‘s charities who carried out the appropriate governance and have assured us that all the correct processes were followed,” Clarence House told CNN in a statement. A source added to the publication that “they [the Palace] do not dispute the fact of the charitable donations and asserted that all the correct processes were followed.” The source also said that some of the details in the Times’ report are inaccurate.

The Prince was involved in another controversial report just a few months ago…
