John Hinckley Jr. Apologizes to Jodie Foster After Attempted Ronald Reagan Assassination in First TV Interview

John Hinckley Jr. is apologizing.

The 67-year-old man, who was released unconditionally this month, gave his first TV interview since shooting President Ronald Reagan in an attempted assassination attempt.

During the interview, he publicly apologized to the families of his shooting victims, including Ronald Reagan, press secretary James Brady, Secret Service Agent Tim McCarthy and police officer Thomas Delahanty, as well as Jodie Foster.
