Taron Egerton Confirms He Has Met With Marvel About Playing Wolverine

Taron Egerton is heating up a long running rumor that he’d be taking over the role of Wolverine in the MCU.

The 32-year-old actor first spoke out about playing the much loved comic character in 2020 and at the time, called it just “fan stuff”.

Now, in a new interview, Taron has confirmed that he’s met with Kevin Feige about the role!

During a recent interview with NY Times, Taron shared just a few details about the meeting, which would involve him taking over the role of Wolverine that was originally played by Hugh Jackman.

“I don’t think it would be wrong to say that,” he said. “I’d be excited but I’d be apprehensive as well, because Hugh is so associated with the role that I’d wonder if it’d be very difficult for someone else to do it.”

Taron then took a moment, before saying that “hopefully if it does come around, they’ll give me a shot.”

In addition to Taron, this other actor was fan-casted as Wolverine, too.
