Victoria Beckham Recalls Being Weighed on TV After Birth of Her First Child

Victoria Beckham

In a new interview with Vogue Australia, Victoria said that after giving birth to Brooklyn she had lost a lot of weight afterwards, which was a big focus because the media had fixated on her weight throughout her career.

“I’ve had ‘Porky Posh,’ I’ve had ‘Skeletal Posh,’” she said, via People. “After I had Brooklyn, there was a picture on the front page of a newspaper pointing to every single part of my body where I had to focus on losing the weight from.”

Victoria then opened up about the “weigh-in” which happened on a show with host Chris Evans (not the actor).

“I’d just had Brooklyn and lost a lot of weight after,” she recalled. “It happened to my mum after her pregnancies. It doesn’t mean you have an eating disorder. And he made me stand on the scales to be weighed.” She added, “Can you imagine doing that nowadays?”

In the TFI Friday interview, Chris had asked Victoria to prove her weight was “back to normal” after childbirth by having her step on a scale.

While she did agree at the time, Victoria was visibly uncomfortable and told Chris that “this is horrible.”

Just recently, Victoria shared her thoughts about having an attitude of wanting to be thin.
