Nick Cannon Addresses Engagement Rumors & Reveals If He'll Get Married Again in the Future

Nick Cannon is speaking out about engagement rumors.

On Thursday night (July 14), the 41-year-old talk show host had fans thinking he had proposed after he posted a photo of himself with a mystery woman with the caption: “I said I would never do it again but… Finally doing what the world wants me to do… 💍.”

But while co-hosting ET with Nischelle Turner, Nick revealed that the photo was misinterpreted.

“I’m doing what the world wants me to do, I’m dropping an amazing music video,” he explained. “… I’m really excited about it. The topic is about just going in with your eyes closed and being a hopeless romantic that everyone knows that I am… It’s a wedding anthem.”

Nick also said of a future engagement: “That’s a big step, especially [with] all that I got going on in my life, just the hint of it shocked the world. If imma do that, I got to be really ready and prepared.”

He went on to say it was “scary” to film the music video, particularly because of the headlines surrounding his love life.

Nick currently has seven kids with four different women – 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey, 5-year-old Golden “Sagon” and 1-year-old Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell, 1-year-old twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa, and Zen – who sadly died at 5-months-old in December 2021 – with Alyssa Scott.

Earlier this year, Nick confirmed that he is expecting his eighth child with Bre Tiesi.
