Steven Spielberg Directs His First-Ever Music Video for Marcus Mumford's 'Cannibal'

Steven Spielberg has a new first in his 50-year directing career.

The 75-year-old director stepped behind the camera to direct his first music video for Marcus Mumford‘s new solo track “Cannibal.”

The pair were joined on the shoot by Steven‘s wife Kate Capshaw, who served as a dolly grip and art director for the video, and Marcus‘ wife Carey Mulligan, who is credited for costuming and sound.

In a photo posted to Marcus‘ Instagram account, Steven can be seen sitting in a rolling office chair as he films the video on his phone.

“On Sunday 3rd July in a high school gym in New York, Steven Spielberg directed his first music video, in one shot, on his phone. Kate Capshaw was the almighty dolly grip,” he wrote in the caption.

He added, “Kate and Steven just got it, and I cannot thank them enough.”
