“Now, getting Conrad Green back as DWTS showrunner is only ONE of their smartest decisions. Here’s the other one,” Tom said of Alfonso while sharing two photos of the pair on Instagram. “Congratulations, buddy! 👏🏼.”

Tom hosted Dancing with the Stars from 2005 until 2019 when it was announced that he had been fired and replaced with Tyra.

Former DWTS co-host Erin Andrews, who was fired at the same time as Tom, took to the comments on Tom‘s post to also congratulate Alfonso.

“I agree on both! Congrats @therealalfonsoribeiro,” Erin wrote.

Alfonso then responded to Tom and Erin, writing, “I just hope I can make you proud.”
