Bowen Yang, Meg Stalter, & Conan O'Brien to Star in 'SNL' Trio's Please Don't Destroy Movie

Bowen Yang is teaming up with a few of his Saturday Night Live co-stars’ new movie!

Bowen, 31, along with Conan O’Brien, Hacks breakout star Meg Statler, comedian X Mayo, Superstore actress Nichole Sakura have joined the cast of SNL comedy trio Please Don’t Destroy‘s upcoming movie.

Variety previously announced that Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy – the trio behind Please Don’t Destroy – will star in the upcoming untitled movie while also writing the screenplay.

SNL alum Paul Briganti is directing the project, which Judd Apatow is producing.

The film, which is currently in production in North Carolina, “follows three childhood friends who live and work together. When the trio decides they don’t like their life trajectory, they set off to find a gold treasure that is rumored to be buried in a nearby mountain.”

As of right now, the movie is scheduled to be released in theaters on Aug. 18, 2023.

The guys of Please Don’t Destroy all met while they were at New York University before getting hired together as writers on SNL.

They’ve been creating digital shorts on SNL, with one of their most popular hits being titled “Three Sad Virgins” which featured Pete Davidson and Taylor Swift. You can watch it here!
