Anne Heche's Lifetime Movie Will Still Premiere in September, Director Elisabeth Rohm Speaks Out

Anne Heche is starring in the upcoming Lifetime movie Girl in Room 13 and the network has confirmed the movie is still going to premiere next month, despite being in “extreme critical condition” after a car crash last week.

The film, directed by Elisabeth Rohm, explores the human trafficking industry and Anne plays a mother whose daughter is abducted.

Lifetime’s executive VP and head of programming Amy Winter said at the TCA press tour, “As many of you know, Anne remains in critical condition and all of us here at Lifetime are deeply concerned for her and everyone affected. This project is important to Anne, along with each and every one of us. We all sought to make a film that would bring attention to this appalling issue of human sex trafficking.”

Elisabeth opened up to ET about Anne‘s tragic accident.

“I know all of us at Lifetime, myself, Larissa, everybody is devastated,” Elisabeth said. “We are praying for her and the victims of this horrible tragedy. I know that Anne really was passionate about this film. She gave it everything that she had, she brought a phenomenal performance and force to this project and she was really committed to stopping violence against women. We wish she was here with us, and all I can say is that we’re just praying for her recovery.”

A blood sample was obtained by the LAPD and she reportedly had drugs in her system at the time of the car crash.
