Netflix Drops Trailer For Tyler Perry’s First Screenplay 'A Jazzman’s Blues' - Watch!
The first trailer for A Jazzman’s Blues is finally here.
The movie is headed to Netflix 27 years after Tyler Perry first wrote it.
“I wrote this 27 years ago, and I finally get to show it to the world,” Tyler shared with fans on Twitter. “This is my new movie, ‘A Jazzman’s Blues.’ I can’t wait for you to see it on Netflix.”
Here’s a summary of the movie: A sweeping tale of forbidden love, A Jazzman’s Blues unspools forty years of secrets and lies soundtracked by juke joint blues in the deep South.
It will star Joshua Boone and Solea Pfeiffer as star-crossed lovers Bayou and Leanne alongside an ensemble cast that includes Amirah Vann, Austin Scott, Milauna Jemai Jackson, Brent Antonello, Brad Benedict, Kario Marcel, Lana Young and Ryan Eggold.
A Jazzman’s Blues is set to debut September 23 on Netflix after debuting at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.
