Amanda Seyfried Wins Her First-Ever Emmy for 'The Dropout'

Amanda Seyfried is now an Emmy winner!

The 36-year-old actress took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes in Hulu’s The Dropout at the 2022 Emmy Awards on Monday (September 12) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

In her acceptance speech, Amanda said working on The Dropout was “really hard, but it was the best time of my life.”

“Thanks for recognizing me among these amazing actors,” Amanda added while getting emotional. “This is a really nice feeling!”

Amanda had some fierce competition in her category – she was nominated alongside Julia Garner (Inventing Anna), Margaret Qualley (Maid), Sarah Paulson (Impeachment: American Crime Story), Lily James (Pam & Tommy), and Toni Collette (The Staircase).
