Quinta Brunson Shares Her Thoughts on Jimmy Kimmel Laying on Stage During Her Emmys Speech

Quinta Brunson is reacting to Jimmy Kimmel‘s bit at the 2022 Emmy Awards.

Before presenting the award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, Jimmy got dragged out on stage by Will Arnett, who said Jimmy got “drunk” after losing yet again to John Oliver.

Will then announced that Quinta was the winner – which was her first-ever Emmy award – and instead of getting up or moving out of the way, Jimmy just continued to lay there as Quinta gave her acceptance speech.

Emmy viewers then took to Twitter to react, slamming Jimmy for overshadowing Quinta‘s moment.

In the press room after her win, Quinta shared her thoughts on the situation.

“I felt like the bit didn’t bother me that much,” Quinta said before adding, “I don’t know what the Internet thinks.”

“Tomorrow maybe I’ll be mad at him. I’m going to be on his show on Wednesday, so I might punch him in the face,” Quinta joked.
