Jason Sudeikis Gives Sweet Shout-Out to His Kids as 'Ted Lasso' Wins Outstanding Comedy Series at Emmys 2022

Jason Sudeikis and Ted Lasso were the big winners of the 2022 Emmy Awards!

The 46-year-old actor won the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his titular role in the show, which won Outstanding Comedy Series at the awards show held on Monday (September 12) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

If you didn’t know, Jason co-created Ted Lasso with Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly.

While accepting the award for Outstanding Comedy Series, Jason opened up about the meaning of the show, and gave a sweet shout-out to his two kids.

“This show is about good and evil, this show is about like the truth and lies, this show is about all that stuff,” Jason said. “But it’s mostly about our response to those things, and your response to our show has been overwhelming.”

Before wrapping up, Jason added, “Otis, Daisy I love you very much.”
