'Grey's Anatomy' Season 19 Trailer Reveals Who's Returning - Watch!

If you didn’t know, Ellen is set to have a reduced role in the season before appearing next May for the Season 19 finale.

Grey’s “going to be just fine without me. I’m going to always be a part of that show. I’m an executive producer. I spent two decades of my career on [Grey’s] — it’s my heart and soul. I’ll never truly be gone as long as [it’s] on the air,” she recently said.

The trailer introduces several rookies, as well as Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), who tendered her resignation in the Season 18 finale. When asked about her surprise return, she says: “I heard about the new class.”

Season 19 premieres on October 6 on ABC at 9 p.m. ET.
