Sarah Jessica Parker's Stepfather Paul Giffin Forste Dies at 76

We are so sad to report that Sarah Jessica Parker and her family have lost her stepfather, Paul Giffin Forste.

News comes just a few hours after the 57-year-old Sex and the City star was supposed to be honored at the 2022 New York Ballet Fall Fashion Gala, but pulled out last minute due to a family emergency.

“Our family is sad to announce that after an unexpected and rapid illness, Paul Giffin Forste passed away yesterday at age 76,” the statement provided to Just Jared, from the Parker family, read. “In his last moments he was surrounded with the love and gratitude of his adored wife Barbara of 54 years, and children, including Sarah Jessica Parker.”

The statement concluded, “Paul will be remembered with the spirit of loving kindness which was his faith, his special delight in his 13 grandchildren, and his sustained belief in making the world a more charitable, tolerant and beautiful place for all.”

Paul and Barbara Parker married when SJP was 3 years old. Our thoughts are with the entire family during this difficult time.
