Trevor Noah Announces Exit From 'The Daily Show' After Seven Years
Trevor Noah‘s time on The Daily Show is coming to an end.
In honor of the seventh anniversary of his first episode hosting the show on Thursday (September 29), the 38-year-old comedian shocked fans by announcing that he is leaving the show.

“I realized after the seven years, my time is up, but in the most beautiful way,” Trevor announced as audience members gasped. “I’ve loved hosting this show.”
“It’s been one of my greatest challenges,” Trevor continued. “It’s been one of my greatest joys. I’ve loved trying to figure out how to make people laugh even when the stories are particularly shitty on the worst days.”
Trevor went on to explain that he plans on returning to stand-up comedy after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
“I miss going to other countries and putting on shows,” Trevor shared. “I miss just being everywhere and doing everything.”
Trevor‘s first episode as host of The Daily Show aired on September 28, 2015 following Jon Stewart‘s exit.
As of right now, Trevor‘s final date and his replacement have not been announced.
