Ramy Youssef Talks Bella Hadid Joining 'Ramy' For Her Acting Debut
Ramy Youssef is opening up about Bella Hadid making her acting debut in his Hulu series, Ramy.
The 25-year-old model plays a character named Lena and is dating Steve, who she met on a dating app called Muslim Match.
In a new interview with Variety, Ramy dished on Bella being cast in the part.

“We were just joking around in the room,” Ramy recalled, adding that a “bunch of people found that they were just mostly watching The Office when they were dating somebody — this joke of The Office being enough to keep two people together.”
That thought then turned into what brought Lena and Steve together.
“Ramy can’t believe that Steve has this really beautiful girlfriend, but they are just together because they love The Office,” Ramy explained. “That is the most important thing in their relationship. It was really making us laugh. It was one of our bigger swings as an episode, and then it became Bella.”
He then says of Bella‘s acting, “She did the script as written, but brought something to it that was so different and really, really unexpected.”
