Hilary Swank is opening up about the shocking reason she didn’t have health insurance back when she won her first Oscar.

For those who don’t know, Hilary is a two-time Oscar-winning actress. She picked up her first Best Actress win back in 2000 for the indie film Boys Don’t Cry and then she won again in 2005 for Million Dollar Baby.

When Hilary was making Boys Don’t Cry, she didn’t have health insurance and it seems she didn’t get covered until after she had her award.
