Sosie Bacon is smiling her way to the top of the box office as the star of the horrifying Smile.

The 30-year-old 13 Reasons Why alum has a leading role in the movie and in a new interview, she broke down the ending and explained her opinions on it.

Here’s a synopsis, in case you haven’t seen it yet: After a patient dies in front of her, Dr. Rose Cotter (Bacon) starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, she learns that she has been cursed and must die herself and pass on the curse to someone else. The only other way to overcome the curse is to kill another person.
