Amy Schumer Attends 'Inside Amy Schumer' Premiere After Show's 6-Year Hiatus!
Amy Schumer hosts the Inside Amy Schumer premiere at the Midnight Theatre on Tuesday (October 18) in New York City.
The 41-year-old comedian’s series has been on a hiatus since season 4, which ended in 2016. She was joined at the premiere by her husband, Chris Fischer, as well as Dulcé Sloan, Roy Wood Jr., Jay McBride, Brandon Pierce, Kevin Kane, and Laura Benanti.
“Has it really been six years? Oh my gosh,” Amy told ET. “I only want to say something if I feel like it can actually be funny and helpful. I really felt pretty hopeless for the last couple, six-ish years. You know what I mean? With all the different elections. And there’s a lot to talk about now.”

Asked about her 3-year-old son Gene, Amy said, “I can’t. I can’t handle it. He’s too cute. He’s too cute and he’s talking so much. And he’s a supreme athlete, just [for] any recruiters. People go, ‘Who works out? Where does he get it from?’ I’m like ‘What do you mean?’”
Inside Amy Schumer Season 5 will consist of five episodes, with two debuting tomorrow (October 20) and the remaining three set to drop weekly on Thursdays on Paramount+.
Earlier this year, Amy credited endometriosis and liposuction surgeries, among other things, for helping her feel better.
