'Real Housewives' Star Braunwyn Windham-Burke Files for Divorce From Husband Sean Burke After 23 Years of Marriage
Braunwyn listed “irreconcilable differences” in the court documents as the reason for the divorce. She requests that the couple shares legal custody of their children. She is asking for physical custody, with Sean getting visitation.
Braunwyn also requests spousal support, a division of personal property and that Sean pay her attorney’s fees.
The news comes two years after Braunwyn came out as a lesbian. The couple remained married while each began dating other women.
“Those who have followed our story probably aren’t surprised to find out how difficult attempting to create a ‘modern family’ is. For the protection, integrity and love for my children, that’s all I will share as I navigate this new chapter. I will always have so much love for the family we created that will continue to flourish and thrive,” she said in a statement.
For the past three months, she’s been dating 38-year-old Jennifer Spinner.
