David Beckham Sues Fitness Franchise For More Than $20 Million Over Shares He Was Reportedly Owed for Marketing Campaign
David Beckham filed a lawsuit against a company he was working with.
The 47-year-old soccer legend is suing F45, a fitness franchise that he signed on to represent in 2021. As part of a five-year contract, David was allegedly supposed to receive $1.5 million and a certain number of company shares every year, according to The Blast.

David is reportedly joined in the lawsuit by professional golfer Greg Norman. They are seeking upwards of $20 million.
The professional athletes claim that F45 didn’t provide “substantial cash and equity compensation.” David‘s issue stems from company shares that were allegedly received later than expected. By the time the shares were paid out, the company’s value had dropped.
F45 made a blog post upon entering their deal with David. He reportedly held up his end of the contract by producing content for the company that was posted on social media.
A spokesperson for the company shared a statement with us about the lawsuit.
“F45 is disappointed to learn about the recent lawsuit filed by the licensing company for David Beckham, Authentic Brands Group (“ABG”). F45 believes this suit is an attempt by ABG to unreasonably profit off the rights it purchased from Mr. Beckham, despite ABG prematurely terminating Mr. Beckham‘s relationship with F45,” they wrote. “F45 deeply values the relationships with all of its ambassadors, including Mr. Beckham, and does not believe this lawsuit has any bearing on, or is an accurate reflection of, F45’s relationship with Mr. Beckham.”
If you weren’t aware, David made headlines after standing in line for 12 hours to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth following her death. His wife Victoria Beckham commented on the experience.
