Formula One Racer Alex Albon Reveals How Netflix's 'Drive To Survive' Impacted the Sport
Formula One racer Alex Albon is a fan of Netflix.
The 26-year-old racecar driver credited the streaming platform’s series Formula 1: Drive to Survive for having a positive impact on the racing world and its culture.
In particular, he said that the sport is picking up in the United States.

“What I’ve seen is, basically, America’s really taken off,” Alex told E News. “We got three races now in Formula 1 where we come to America. It’s always sold out.”
All of that press has helped the sport grow. “In some ways, honestly, it’s kind of saved Formula 1,” he said. “It’s been really impressive, so it’s been really good for the sport.”
Drive to Survive has been on the platform since 2019 and is in its fourth season.
