'RuPaul's Drag Race' Star Reveals How Much Money She Makes After Being on the Show

In an interview with The Times, Baga revealed exactly how her finances work now.

“Before RuPaul’s Drag Race, I’d do a good hour on stage and get £200. Now I can do 20 minutes and get £6,000,” she revealed.

“Afterwards, I’ll do a meet and greet. So, each person, we’ll say hello and have a picture together. It takes 40 seconds and that’s £40. I do big venues, so say there’s a thousand people, 300 of those will pay for a meet and greet – £40 times 300 is a lot, isn’t it?” she continued.

“I’ll have an assistant with me selling merchandise. T-shirts, fans, mugs – I make £2,000 a night from that. I do appearances around the country. They’re a good four grand a pop, just for turning up to a nightclub and having pictures with people. I’ve had people crying: ‘Oh my God, Baga, I love you! You’re my idol!’ I don’t see it myself. I’m just a fat little chav, dressed as a woman,” she went on to say.

“I’m on Cameo, filming birthday messages for people. They pay $125 for a video and I make £2,000 a week doing that. So I can make 30 to 40 grand a week in total sometimes – and then there’s the £100,000 campaigns I’ve done for McCain, and booze brands like Strongbow and Malibu. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I’d be making as much as I do now. But I’m a businesswoman, I’ve got a good agent and I work my absolute t-ts off.”
