Cristin Milioti is joining Colin Farell in the series, Variety reported on Monday (October 31).

The Made for Love star will take on the role as Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Gotham mob boss Carmine Falcone. John Turturro played Carmine in The Batman, with The Penguin as his right-hand man.

Exact plot details are under wraps, but it is believed to take place in the immediate aftermath of the events of The Batman. Colin will reprise the role of the Batman villain, which he also played in the film.

The character of Sofia was introduced in the Batman comic books in the mid ’90s. Crystal Reed also played her in the Fox series Gotham.

The show was ordered to series in March of 2022. Lauren LeFranc serves as writer, executive producer and showrunner. It’s one of three spinoffs of The Batman in the works at HBO: Antonio Campos is set to write a series set in Arkham Asylum, and there’s also a series within the Gotham police department.
