This past summer, former NBA star Dwyane Wade filed a request to legally change his child Zaya‘s name and gender.

The 40-year-old former pro athlete revealed that his daughter, Zaya, came out as transgender back in early 2020. At the time, Dwyane also revealed why he was going public with Zaya‘s journey and has shown her so much support over the years. Dwyane‘s wife, Gabrielle Union, has been so supportive as well.
