Drake & 21 Savage Are Being Sued for $4 Million by Vogue's Partner Company Condé Nast

Drake and his Her Loss collaborator 21 Savage are being sued for $4 million by Condé Nast, the parent company of Vogue magazine.

The lawsuit was filed just days after the two rappers released their joint album, which is expected to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

As part of the promotion for the new album, the rappers did some “fake” interviews and created some “fake” magazine covers. It doesn’t seem the media company is happy to be associated with the promo campaign.

Drake and 21 Savage distributed a fake Vogue cover and claimed that the issue would be on newsstands, according to the lawsuit.

On his Instagram account, Drake posted photos of the fake cover and wrote, “Me and my brother on newsstands tomorrow!! Thanks @voguemagazine and Anna Wintour for the love and support on this historic moment. Her Loss Nov 4th.”

The lawsuit said that Anna Wintour “had no involvement in Her Loss or its promotion” and did not endorse the album, according to Variety.

The company is seeking at least $4 million in damages “or triple the defendants’ profits from their album and ‘“counterfeit’ magazine.”

Drake faced a lot of backlash over one of the lyrics on the new album.
