Katy Perry Seemingly Pays Homage to Britney Spears in Denim Outfit at CMA Awards 2022

Katy Perry appears to be honoring Britney Spears in her latest red carpet look.

The 38-year-old “Teenage Dream” singer hit the red carpet at the 2022 CMA Awards on Wednesday night (November 9) at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

For the red carpet, Katy is wearing an off the shoulder denim top with baggy jeans with a giant bow on her hip, paired with pearl choker.

This is now the second time Katy has worn a denim outfit inspired by Britney‘s iconic 2001 American Music Awards denim dress. Katy wore a denim dress by Versace to the 2014 VMAs.

Katy is set to take the stage during the CMAs for a performance. Make sure to check out the star-studded list of performers who will be at the awards show, which is airing on ABC at 8pm ET.
