Adidas Announces Plans to Continue Selling Kanye West's Yeezy Designs After Ending Partnership With Him - Here's What That Means!
Fashion brand Adidas terminated their partnership with Kanye West, but they still intend to sell his Yeezy designs.
If you missed it, the brand decided to part ways with the 45-year-old rapper in late October following weeks of antisemitic and hateful statements on his part. His net worth proceeded to tank in the aftermath.
While many thought this meant the end of Kanye‘s popular designs from his Yeezy line, it looks like that isn’t the case.

Harm Ohlmeyer, Adidas’ Chief Financial Officer, revealed that the brand intended to still utilize Yeezy designs during a quarterly earnings call earlier this week.
“I can confirm that Adidas is the sole owner of all design rights related to existing product, as well as previous and new colorways under the partnership,” they revealed, according to CBS. “We intend to make use of these rights as early as 2023.”
They added that a plan is still “being developed” for how to handle existing inventory. Harm hinted at plans to continue selling the items and implied that doing so without having to pay Kanye would new them more money in the long run.
